Sihe Mine Sets New Record for Daily Advance of 1,000-Meter Directional Drilling Rig

On March 31, 2025, the daily advance of the 1,000-meter directional drilling rig at Sihe Mine, under Jinneng Holding Equipment Manufacturing Group, reached 8,187 meters, surpassing the 8,000-meter mark for the first time and setting a new record for the mine since its establishment.

This breakthrough not only highlights a significant improvement in the mine's gas control capabilities but also provides strong technical support and assurance for subsequent safe production.

Focusing on the core task of gas control, Sihe Mine has scientifically planned and dynamically managed operations to promote both gas extraction compliance and production progress. To ensure the efficient operation of the gas drainage system, the mine formulated weekly and monthly advance plans in advance, clearly defined construction tasks for teams, optimized process coordination, and strictly implemented safety and technical measures, providing a scientific basis for on-site operations. Special WeChat workgroups were established for key areas and drilling rigs to conduct dedicated supervision and inspections. Meanwhile, timely communication and coordination based on team construction dynamics and progress enable dynamic adjustments to sealing plans and staggered sealing operations, avoiding fluctuations in daily advance due to concentrated sealing, thus creating favorable conditions for breaking the daily advance record.

The mine has innovatively implemented a "one-rig, one-strategy" precision management plan, significantly enhancing the efficiency of 1,000-meter directional drilling rigs through scientific classification and refined management. For the 42 long-reach directional drilling rigs underground, the mine categorized them based on key parameters such as rated torque, drilling depth, and applicable coal seam thickness, and conducted in-depth analysis of historical construction data to provide a basis for precise allocation. By reasonably planning construction schemes for different types of boreholes—such as high-level boreholes, interstratal boreholes, and in-seam boreholes—the mine maximizes the performance of the drilling rigs and improves human-machine collaboration efficiency, offering technical support for precise gas control. Additionally, strengthened production organization ensures that drilling auxiliary materials are prepared in advance according to team construction plans. Following a system of relocating one 1,000-meter directional drilling rig per week for both the east and west shafts, the mine staggers and orderly conducts rig relocation, optimizes drilling and extraction coordination, and ensures high operational efficiency.

To guarantee round-the-clock stable equipment operation, the mine has implemented a system where maintenance personnel are assigned to specific drilling rigs, ensuring reasonable allocation of maintenance staff and real-time monitoring of each rig's operational status. The mine strictly enforces daily, weekly, and monthly inspection and maintenance procedures, with a particular focus on maintaining critical components such as hydraulic systems and power modules. Furthermore, an equipment fault early-warning system has been established. Drilling Rigs approaching their maintenance cycles undergo servicing during construction breaks, while drilling rigs with extended service periods are promptly scheduled for major overhauls on the surface, maximizing drilling time.
