The new square-shaped spiral center cable-through drill pipe mainly consists of a drill pipe and an internal cable passage device. Both ends of the drill rod feature threaded connectors, and the outer wall of the drill rod has helical grooves. The drill rod, helical grooves, and threaded connectors form an integrated structure. The threaded connectors at both ends of the cable-passing drill pipe are male and female connectors respectively, with internal and external threads designed for rapid connection between two drill rods. These threads offer high resistance to bending, torsion, and tension, along with excellent sealing properties. This drill rod is primarily used for directional horizontal drilling within coal mine tunnels, in conjunction with borehole display equipment to show real-time drilling trajectory data. Operators can adjust the drilling direction based on displayed data to achieve directional drilling.
Application Scope
The new square-shaped spiral center wired drill pipe is mainly used for directional drilling of long inclined boreholes in coal mines. It can also be used as a substitute for conventional smooth drill rods in hard, intact rock layers or broken coal seams.
